Symbols and Special Characters Reference
Symbols are searchable data
Every symbol in the hub has a name, code point, category, and copy formats. Searching by a word such as arrow or degree returns the matching records.
Symbol categories group related characters so you can compare variants instead of hunting through long tables.
Common practical searches
Degree sign, copyright symbol, euro symbol, check mark, infinity, and arrow are some of the most searched special characters.
Each symbol page links to its Unicode block, category, and HTML entity when one exists, so a symbol is never an isolated record.
Fonts affect appearance only
A symbol that renders as a box still has a valid code point; the installed font simply lacks the glyph. Use a font with broad symbol coverage for the best result.
Copying the character, not a screenshot, keeps the symbol searchable and editable in the destination document.
